1 chick coop?

Yeah, the only time I've heard of having only one chicken was from folks who have a house chicken, because you become their social outlet. You really should try to have two birds...

Shutting them in at night (their pop door) and using a heavy guage wire (top covered) is a good way of making sure raccoons and such can't get your birds.

You have coons in your sewer? Ew I am glad we don't have septic predators. Don't get just one, she'll be sad. No foraging partner, no one to listen to her egg song. Just get 2. Per hen you need AT LEAST ABSOLUTE MINIMUM 4 sq feet coop, 10 sq feet in run. Also, if you get bantams they need half that size.

Yeah, they can rip right through chicken wire. Use 1/2" hardware cloth instead.

You can buy chicken diapers at a lot of different stores online. What kind of coop are you thinking? What about an A frame tractor with Hardware cloth on the bottom. Have a door lock that has the hole you can put a combination lock on or a small padlock. I would use screws with washers every 4 inches to make sure the hardware cloth is held down. I don't know what your weather is light but make sure you have ventilation. There are vents that screw securely onto the walls of your coop. If you want a stationary coop, then bury the wire and make a skirt to prevent pests.

You're not really wanting them in your house, are you?
For a coop, rehab a dog house and add a run. Perfect size for two chickens. Use hardware wire.
