I have 3 brahma chicks that I ordered from Mybackyard chicken. They all came together and are approximately 3 weeks old now. They all eat, chirp, poop, drink and run around... but one of them is growing slower than the others and is getting feathers a lot slower. Is this normal? They aren't picking on her and she doesn't seem to be sick... The only difference between them is the colors, 1 dark, 1 buff, and 1 light... the light one is the smallest. Any ideas?

Without any symptoms... I would suspect simple genetic differences.

Even if they had the same parents you may still get an ugly sister and a pretty one. Or a fat and skinny...

Coming from a hatchery... they have a wide variety of parent stock with little uniformity... breed standards (like body type) are very rarely met with high precision. They keep the basic bird... but many dual purpose breeds will never meet a meat goal... No big deal if you aren't trying to breed them.

You likely have nothing to worry about... good to keep an eye out though and notice differences! How cool that you got a variety. Pics always welcome! :pop
