1 Chick

My daughter got a baby chick as an invitation to homecoming. Cute thought, but now I have a sole chick.

I have 13 hens that are a year plus old. I have integrated chicks before and know that it can be a bit rough for a few days. Has anybody integrated one chick into a larger flock? Wondering if I should get another (Crazy thought) so that this little gal won't be hen pecked to death.

I wouldn't try it till the baby is nearly as big as the other girls. If you can house it where there is only one wire fence between them for quite a while it won't be lonely and you might be able to integrate sooner but I think another chick is the best idea.

should be fine on there own just don't put (s)he in there yet with the hens.
