1 Day Old Baby Chick has something hanging out

I am not sure what it is and was wondering what I can do. These aren't incubator chicks, hen just hatched them yesterday.

Unabsorbed yolk sac...but it looks like it might be broken..which is not good.

Went to check on the chick and it had pooped but more intestines were hanging out. Grabbed a cotton swab and gently pushed them all in. Covered with a bandage. How long should I keep it on?

You should not cover it with a bandage, as it will provide pressure to her rear and cause serious damage, just keep pushing it in GENTLY with the swab, until it stops.

Also, it does appear to be a prolapse if intestines are falling out. This can cause death to the chick, but if you do this, she will be completely fine. Don't sweat about him/her dying, because they RARELY die from this, the reasoning if they die is if their intestines get infected, and you not treating it.
