What's going on? They have plenty of layer feed with oyster shells. They also get lettuce, celery, tomatoes (a favorite), Omega Egg Maker and scratch grains every day. They have a HUGE coop and run and free range every evening. Help! What am I doing wrong?

how long to they free range? they could be hiding a nest. Are you sure they are all laying? Its possible some may have started to molt, are there alot of feathers on the ground?

They run around in the driveway (2 acre) area from about 6 to 8 every evening. Thinking they might be hiding them I tore apart the coop and run but didn't find anything but poo. There are feathers all over the place but that seems to be the norm. The babies just hit 6 months and should have started by now. My neighbor has 9 (his first ever) who just hit 6 months and he gets 7 eggs a day

They might be light on the protein. Lettuce, celery, tomatoes and scratch are not high protein foods. And because of that are slow maturing. That said 26 weeks isn't really to late for some breeds.

been there lol, my birds were not laying and I was wondering why, I feed them layer, meal worms ,all kinds of fruits and veggies daily and give them a plate of scrambled eggs once a week, spagetti with meat at least once a week, yogurt 3 days a week, etc. and then I was thinking, hummm feathers around, I believe there molting . now Im getting an egg from everyone of my girls. ( except my 17 week old brahama.yours may be molting. a light molt.

Touche! Still rather new to the whole 'chicken' thing. It seems it's either too cold, too hot, wrong feed, moltong, etc, etc,
