Okay some of our guys (and gals) have feathered out a bit, and our kids have named them. We now are certain that the breeder we got them from was MISTAKEN when he said they came from the same hatching. (He said they were within 2 days age apart.) The reason we are pretty certain of this, is that the ones named "Hoss" and "Ginger" (see photo below) are three times the size of "Hermione". He also they were all banties, but Hermione can already fly (in spite of her tiny size) and the one next to her, "Biddy" is twice her size and has almost no feathers anywhere.

Methinks someone got their eggs mixed, wouldn't you say?

Anyway, we are fairly certain of sex with some of these, but before I speak up and make a fool of myself, I'll get the group to weigh in.

Some do flutter around more than others and the bantams I have all did that before the full-size chicks. They all look about the same age from your pics. It's hard to say what happened before you got them.

Hoss looks like a boy to me. He stands out as lighter in color and has a bigger comb already. Someone who knows BR well can give you more info.

Ha-HA! A fellow cacher! Maybe one day our paths will cross.

As for the babies, I had thought that the one on the lower left is a roo as well, he has already starting attempting to crow!
