Hi I have 8 chicks I have no idea what they are. I will post them individually to maybe make it easier . I have a hard time reading and well just focusing my eye in general so I am sorry if I type wrong and if the pics are messy. I know the younger ones are Americauna, I purchased straight run from tractor supply, and the Maran was from a hatching I did . so here is number 1.

we have a family that fly by all the time, they live in the neighbors trees. lots of woods here, they mostly have snakes when they have food. I honestly have no idea where they went. I ran into the house to use the bathroom, came out and one was gone, next day same thing. we put up a smaller pen and netting over the area . we thought maybe rats too but it was daytime, maybe squirrel.. oh and possibly our dog.... he is a butt and got one too. we were not pleased.

Yeah, sorry to hear about that.
It's horrible losing birds so young.
Losing anything young, even.
It's nice this cockerel seems to have taken the younger ones under his wing a bit.

I also have a family of hawks here. If I do let my chickens out, we have to be there the whole time watching the sky.

They're sneaky!
