1 out 7 eggs hatched

Hello everyone!

So I'm new to having chickens.
My gen laid 7 eggs and only 1 egg hatched

It took more than 21 days for the egg to hatch. It took about 26 days to hatch from the day she sat on her eggs.

Only 1 egg hatched and it's been 12 days already since the egg hatched. She hasn't abandoned her nest yet and she still goes and lays on the eggs. She is very over protective of her baby and the eggs.

I am wondering if anyone knows if the other eggs will hatch or should I remove the eggs(?)

If I'm understanding your post correctly, one chicken egg hatched on day 26, and now all the remaining eggs are 38 days old. If that is right, I would remove her from the nest and discard the eggs. Some hens will sit on rotten/dud eggs to the bitter end.

If your absolutely sure they are more than 38 days old, they likely died in the egg or were never fertilized at all. In which case its best to discard the eggs.
