1 Roo, 5 Hens (different breeds), 1 broody hen...

I have 1 roo with 5 different ladies. My silkie is laying on 10 eggs which should hatch next week. How will I know which breed the chicks are?

Unless your rooster is the same breed as one of your hens, all the chicks will be mixes/ mutts. You could try to match up characteristics to see who is the mom. Example- silkies have 5 toes, crest, blue earlobes and feathered shanks. If you have a chick with a small crest or 5 toes, or both and have no other hens with these characteristics, than the silkie would be the mom.
