One of my silkies seems like something is wrong. She hatched yesterday and her brother/sister did too and it seems fine. She is very wabbly on her feet...unstable. I haven't noticed her eating very much. I held her and made her drink some "Quick Chick" which she seemed to enjoy but she is she has not yet drank on her own. She sleeps when the others are playing. I have her and her sibling in with 2 other small frizzles which were born the day before my two silkies.
I tried to give her some of the Mcmurry Grogel Plus which she nor any of the other chicks touched. She is now chirping kind of loud since I made her drink that water. She just seems weak and lathargic. Is there anything I can do? I've read about pasty butt but I don't know what exactly it looks like,,,,I guess it would just look clogged up maybe? I will check that now. If it's clear,,,then what else could it be or anything I can do? She is warm,,,I have a brooder light over them where they can get near or far from the warm light. The others are doing great but she is not. I'm just worried about her. If any of this rings a bell,,,please let me know! Julie
