My family is now obssessed with chicks. I can't believe how much I truly enjoy them! It gives my hubby an ongoing building project and my kids play with them constantly.
Our original 9 chicks are almost 10 months old. MY daughter and I saw a frizzle at a petting zoo and fell in love. we HAD to have one (or two)! so the next week we went and got 2 10 week old frizzles Dhalia and Daisy (my daughter calls them flower chickens) so we have spent the last week attempting to mingle them.
Well last night they FINALLY got along well enough to spend the night in the coop together and all be allowed in the run together today.
however,,,.when I went to let them out this morning and sat and watched them to make sure they were getting along...
well....
our beloved Eleanor (she was our fav from day 1) cock a doodle dooed...FIVE TIMES
ugh
THEN Millie our 1 and only surviving Barred rock decided to join in
waahhhhh
SO
Eleanor is now Alvin
and Millie is now Marty..as in Polka dot polka dot afro circus
