1 week old chicks have poop caked on there toes what to do?

i wasn't sure if i should try to wet it and pick it off or let it go. and before anyone asks i change there bedding 3 times a day. thanks

I would soak their feet in shallow warm water and then gently remove it with a warm washcloth.

If they are on pine bedding it should just wear off with walking. Mine step in it at times and it is usually gone almost as fast.

Maybe try a soft tooth brush to get it off.
