Should I be concerned? She is in the brooder with 8 chicks and another Runner - the temp is 90 (I lowered it). Yesterday while I was out the brooder got up to 99 under the heat lamp. However, the light is placed toward one end of the brooder as it sounds like ducklings like it a bit cooler. The cooler end runs about 3-5 degrees lower.
Tonight, since about 45 minutes ago I noticed she was breathing heavy so I took her out and let her cool off on my shoulder; then moved her to the cooler end of the brooder. She has been drinking and eating and I did see her poop just a little.
Water changed 2-3 times a day.
Morrison's organic chick starter
No antibiotics, just a supplement added to the water (Poultry Drench).
Poops picked daily if not 2x/day.
Is there anything else I should do? or just leave her be?
