1 week old hurt!

This chick was born in our farm and has 3 mommas looking after him. Everything was fine until today. Just went to check on them and its upper torso was full of blood. Looks like someone has been pecking at it. We’re leaving town in a few days so can’t really take care of it if I transfer indoors. Plus the only reason I let it hatch was because I wouldn’t have to spend money on electricity with a heat lamp.

Is it ok if I separate it and leave it inside the coop without a heat lamp and just feed/water it?

At 1 week old it doesn't have enough feathers to regulate its own body temperature.. so no, leaving it without a heat lamp is not going to work! If you're worried about a fire hazard, you can try using a heat pad instead.
