I'm Osa, new to this platform. I started with a dozen of fertile eggs, incubated, hatched and only two roosters(mixed breed) obtained.
Then I bought 10 Hyline chicks( a day old) which were raised together with the roosters.
I now have 70 layers which are quite productive
I was gifted a breeding pair of buff orpington chicks (about 3 weeks old). I now have 10 buff orpington chicks which are about 12 weeks old.
I have 4 point of lay black australorp which I hope to cross breed with buff orpington rooster. The black australorp to be cross-bred with rhode island red rooster. What are your experiences on these cross-breeds.

You have quite a flock, chicken math is real….
I can’t answer your question, I have chickens mostly for pets and entertainment

Hi Osa, nice to meet you! Buff Orpingtons, Black Australorps, and Rhode Island Reds are known for their solid egg production. My hope is you would get healthier birds (with a mix of parentage) that continue to produce a good amount of eggs!
