She's
Opal's baby, Sonic-Ian, is still thriving. Thank you for checking in Chickeria 💜

Sonic is the gray one in back (Raya is the black one, 6 months older than Sonic)

Integrated her with the rest of the flock a few months ago.

I havent seen any issues or health decline. Considering the fact that Sonic is not vaccinated, I've been hopeful that shes lived this long. But then I came across info recently that said Mareks can take up to 2 years before they succumb to the illness.

That's wonderful that your flock and Sonic-Ian are all doing so well :thumbsup
I'm so happy for you that you do have your dear Opal's daughter, and I fully agree - she is beautiful and a stunner 😍
And Raya is gorgeous, too🥰

Yeah, the unpredictability seems to be a huge part in this horrible disease 😔
But it also means that everything remains possible - perhaps it will never 'show up'...I hope this with all my heart.
Your girls look so happy. Nothing can take away the experience of happy, loved and cared for lifetime - no matter how long or 'short' - they do have with you and because of you - - even Mareks can't :hugs

I appreciate that :hugs your words are encouraging. I hope they're happy, that's all that matters; happy hen, healthy eggs  definitely learned my lesson in chicken math though.
Thank you again!
