1 year old lavendar orpington died of unknown cause

Any idea where I can get Valbazen?
The cheapest place I could find it is Allivet.
The dosage would be 1/2 cc (ml) per hen. I like to squirt the dosage into a piece of bread and feed it to the hen in a private area where no one else can steal it.
Repeat the deworming in 10 days with a second dose.
You shouldn't have to worry about the 2 week egg withdrawal as they aren't laying.

If she has a reproductive disorder or infection, some treat it with a round or antibiotics, such as amoxicillin or others. A vet may prescribe something else. Amoxicillin can be found online as AquaMox for fish or sometimes fish mox. Dosage is 125-250 mg given orally twice a day for 10 days.

@Buttons Birds I was able to find Valblazen at a farm/feed store a few towns away. It might be worth it to call around to ask. If one place doesn't have it, I'd ask if they know who carries it. That's the only way I found it locally. Now, I've noticed it's in stock at most feed stores. Since Valblazen can be more expensive than other dewormers, this is one way to save on shipping. I really like Valblazen a lot. Like Dobie mentioned, the other dewormers can cause issues with feather growth if administered while birds are molting.

If your birds aren't eating whenever you give them the dewormer, you can give it by mouth, without putting it on bread. My birds didn't like the taste and I was unable to get the correct amount into them while trying to get them to eat the bread. @dawg53 advised me to give the dewormer first thing in the morning, so the birds and any parasites will be hungry. Dawg has a very detailed thread but unfortunately I don't have the link to it right now. I will try to find it later this evening.

Thanks. I ordered it today. Fingers crossed.

Pru is still separated and indoors. She’s been through a full round of antibiotics. There’s been some improvement. She doesn’t do the penguin walk as much as before. She’s still eating and drinking with normal poop. She’s alert but doesn’t get up and move around much. I have her on probiotic water and high protein feed crumbles. Her molt is not complete. I’m just trying to be patient and give her time to fully recover.
