They say, that time heals all things..... I'm still waiting for my heart to heal.........

Sorry for your loss. Time helps take the edge off, I don't know if you ever stop missing them though. It stops being something that seizes you in your tracks anyway.

Best wishes.

Very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, many times a year is nowhere near enough time. The bigger the wound the longer it takes to heal. In time each memory that provokes a painful sense of loss will provoke a fond sense of remembrance instead.

Thank you for sharing your memory of her with us.

Thank you. It still seizes me in my tracks though... : / it gets to me the most when we come to something we did as a family, like 4th of july....

In some ways it heals but in some ways it never does. I lost my best friend four years ago and I still think of her every day and miss her so much that sometimes I don't think I can stand the pain.

Yeah, thats what i was trying to say, but I couldn't think of the right words... I feel you... sorry about that : (

And remember that anniversaries will be the hardest..... her birthday, her exit day. I lost my mom in March 2013 and it still ain't quite right back to normal, but it's getting better. I find myself more often than not doing the "Gee, she'd like this..." as opposed to "I miss her and she's missing this...." It's a hard journey and taken in baby steps.

Thank you for posting the pictures. She looks like quite the fun character and a provider of many fond memories for you.
