10.5 week old chicks, pullet or cockerel?

It's called beau peep farm in British Columbia, Canada. I would have to look at her/him up close. I don't think they are known for the quality of their birds. now that I've bought them, I've been hearing some unfortunate tales, but I guess live and learn.

Yaaaaay! Oh I'm so hoping so. We run a home-based business and the cockadoodledooing is seriously a no-go with our being on the phone all the time. Also I just was getting frustrated worrying that I'd driven basically 6 hours to get to a place that had theoretically-sexed heritage breed birds and maybe wasted all my time. I reeeeeeally hate slaughtering heritage roos. Can you tell? Thank you!!
Sounds like your situation and roosters don't go together, for sure! ;) Well, luckily for you, it appears everybody's a pullet. :D
Can't tell at all! :p Slaughtering isn't fun, heaven knows I understand. :barnie You're so welcome! :)

It's amazing how many people will go on forums and complain or ask questions rather than asking the people from which they bought them. Sexing is 90% accurate which means that 10% will be cockerels. The hatchery has thousands of chicks of any breed which means hundreds of cockerels. There is the chance that the 25 we order has more than the 2.5 we are supposed to get and subsequently if a person buys 10 chicks of that breed, they may get 2 or 3 cockerels. There is also a chance that we get 100% pullets. It's unfortunate but something that can't be helped.

KIKIWICK: You never have come back here and said the final numbers. What was the final count ... how many cockerels and pullets? I wish you came to us with your questions.

Well years later, I'm here to report, they were all pullets and are happy as can be. I certainly wasn't trying to bad mouth your company, Beau Peep, and I do understand about sexing not being 100%.
