I just got some eggs in and the hatch date on them is 12/20-12/22 and today is 12/30, are they too old? I didn't even order them until 12/24. I am going to incubate them but does anyone think I should ask for newer eggs?

Hmm. I would prefer that you should incubate them. I do know that your hatch rate might decrease but some might still hatch.

For e.g. The hatch rate starts to decrease after 7 days of being laid, so if you have 10 eggs depending on you incubator you might get 4 to 6 chicks. A 50 to 60 percent hatch rate.

You should ask for newer eggs but you can also try these ones.

I contacted lady and let her know I was putting eggs in and in a week I would check them and if they were good thanks for the eggs but if not I would like replacement fresh eggs or a refund, now only time will tell. My temperature has been holding a steady 99.1 at bottom of eggs and 99.8 at top humidity good and auto turner working so crossing fingers since my bator is full and I don't want any prob's. Thanks all
