Yardfulla poopers

I was super excited to get 10 eggs yesterday! The bad news, three were egg bombs, 2 of those bombs 3 were softshell. I loved the idea in a recent post of putting an umbrella under the night layer, but now I have 3... And I don't have any umbrellas
. I know it will only last a short time as my first egg bomber stopped after a week.
We've wanted to put in poop boards or hammocks as well as rearranging the roosts but we are currently working on building a separate run and house for the ducks and geese who are, for now, in the coop with the chickens. So many projects getting put off because every time we plan to work on them, an emergency comes up (like the well going out, plumbing issues, etc).
Just kind of rambling... At any rate, I'm excited that all my hens are laying and am looking forward to finding my first duck egg (should be soon).
