10 month old cream legbar not laying?!

I also wonder if she could be an internal layer - which would mean you are likely to see health problems down the line. I'm just struck by her pale legs, unless that was their original color. Most CLs have bright yellow legs until laying makes them pale.

Just wanted to give a quick update... my cream legbar hen is now 14 months old and still hasn't laid a single egg. I think her days may be numbered. Really a bummer because she has a wonderful disposition! I've never seen a laying hen of this age without laying a single egg! Quite the mystery...

Was researching a similar issue but I think mine is just season related. I have a....gosh I *think* 4-5 month old CL hen who started laying a few weeks after similar aged Copper Marans.....an egg at least every other day for 2 weeks....and now she hasn't laid in a couple weeks. But its started getting cold here with a few nights into the 30s. With 40 various breed hens I'm still getting about a dozen a day yet people are telling me all there chickens have quit laying.

I just wish I was getting more blue eggs. Good luck with your hen! I hope she lays for you eventually.

I know you posted this many years ago but just wondering how it worked out? My creme legbar hen is 11 mths and still not laying.

They've been gone from BYC for 4 years...so we will never know.

Just jumping in years late here, b/c I was looking into why my Cream Legbar isn't laying yet. She's about 7 -8 months old, hasn't laid a single egg. Did yours ever start laying?

I have a cream legbar hen that I got from Greenfire farm as a day old chick in September. She is an absolute doll with a wonderful personality, but I haven't gotten A SINGLE egg from her yet!! She is just shy of ten months old. What gives??? Anyone else have a CCL hen not lay until this late?

She has been fully developed (red comb etc) since early March. She is low on the pecking order, but still gets plenty to eat. I feed organic layer crumbles, free choice oyster, and they free range for 1-2 hours every day. I've checked her over and haven't seen any bugs or health issues. She's quite healthy it seems.

Thoughts? Am I alone here??

I also have a ten month old cream legbar that is not laying. She actually started laying in January and laid a total of 5-6 eggs, the last one being two months ago. She is in run/coop full time. Lives with four other hens that lay every day. Very peaceful flock, no bullying, stress, etc. She's a beautiful hen but would love to get more blue eggs.
