10 chicks 9 weeks old and 9 out of 10 sleep where the heat plate used to be (3 weeks ago) and only one has been roosting for 1 week straight alone

Many don't roost until older, generally closer to 3 months. If they had a mom chicken she would get them roosting sooner. Younger ones still like to pile for comfort and warmth.

They'll roost eventually. Not to worry.

Not worried. Just an observation. I like making them. First round with chickens and I like the science behind it. I don't over do the care or worry and like to see how things go. My guess is the one that is roosting right now might be more dominant in the pecking order later time will tell.
