10 week easter egger and buff orpington hens or roos

Hope your not getting too sick of these. Two of my "pullets" have developed combs. Please give me your opinions future hens or roosters? Added a picture of the other buff orpington/same age for comparision. Thanks for the input!

your EE is a boy. The last orp is a girl. Not sure with the orp with the redder comb.

I figured the EE was a roo, I hope the BO is a hen...it's the only one that like being petted.

I think you have two cockerels and a pullet (the one of the bottom).

I'm going to hold out hope for the BO...I don't see any pointy saddle feathers yet. Guess I shouldn't play the lottery anytime soon. Out of 6 pullets, 2 might be cockrels. Suppose to be 90% accurate. Oh well...luck of the draw.

Just walked outside and heard/saw EE crowing...so that settles that one.

Out of my BO pullets from TSC, I think 4/6 of them are cockerels. I think this might be my first and last year buying sexed pullets from TSC. Their hatchery either doesn't sex well or they mix up the signs. Either way, I think I'm done.

I got mine from a feed store that got them from Mt Healthy. I knew I might have a male and/or a death, so I got a couple extra. Just wasn't counting on two males. Already have a home lined up for the EE, and I will ask around about the BO. I still might wait till he starts crowing, since he's my favorite. Thanks for your input!

I wonder if the hatcheries aren't as careful when they send large batches. The feed store I got them from only ordered pullets. I bet they do get mixed up quite a bit a TSC. Sorry about your luck Jamie. It's a pain to try to find homes for roos and stray kittens, you can only have so many.
