10 week old chickens sleeping with young duck

Last week we put our 9 week old chickens(4 of them) and 6 week old duck in their new coop. Instead of the chickens sleeping on the roosting bar they sleep in a box with the duck on the ground, all snuggled together. I know they know how to use the bar because I had a smaller one in their old home. I even placed the smaller bar in the coop and they won't use it.
Should I leave them be and let them figure it out or start putting them on the roosting bar every night? Thanks for any advice.

Leave them be. They'll roost when they are ready.
