I have a 10 week old Chick was fine when she hatched about 3 weeks later noticed her leg was turning . Tried to fix it . But no luck so now she is 10 weeks old lives in my house . She hops on her leg but Im Worried about if she is in pain. She eats and Drinks great . Poop is nice amd firm. Is there anything i can give her for pain. I thought about taken her to the vet but afriad he would want to Kill her. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT. Or maybe i should have her put down ..her knee is solid now cant turn it. Even thought about making her a wheel chair. ......

I would take her to the vet and see what they tell you. Just let the vet know that you really don’t want to put her down. I don’t think that she is in pain because she is perfectly healthy, maybe she is just uncomfortable. If she doesn’t use the leg at all you can talk to the vet about amputation. I’ve never heard of anything like this, but I wish you the best of luck.

It sounds like you may have a rotated femur. If you have an avian vet that would be your best option to see if it's possibly correctable. If it's a rotated femur and treatable it may require surgery and a pin inserted to correct the leg, and it may be expensive, but I'd have it assessed, and then decide. And if that's what it is then it likely is painful. If the vet recommends putting her down, it's still your decision in the end.

THANKS YALL . I am attached to her. Will make a appointment for monday. Ill call him at the oaks today. I do have a care credit. Lol i just don't want her in pain.
