Hello....

We recently bought several chicks from a feed store and were raising them in a large tub until we could finish our coop. All seemed to be well, they chased eachother around, tried to catch flies, and seemed happy and healthy. Now, something has changed. They began to get somewhat lazy in the tub, I figured because they were just getting bigger and needed more room.

We have now moved them from the tub and into the coop, but they still seem to lay around a lot. There legs seem to be weak and somewhat uncoordinated. I don't know whether to think they just need more time to stretch their legs and build strength, or if they may have a disease.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Well we started them on vitamins three days ago, they are starting to look much better. More energetic, acting more like "normal" chickens.

I did check the poop, mostly hard but some spots of runny looking blobs. No blood or anything though, but could they have worms? If so, I have heard you can't worm chickens and give vitamins at the same time.

Thanks for the earlier feedback.
