I got 6 straight run SLW from TSC 10 weeks ago and unfortunately it appears that at least 5 of them are roos but I'm not sure about the 6th one. I'm pretty sure it's a hen but I not 100% sure. First 2 pics are the one in question. Others are obvious roos from the same group.

The second picture MIGHT be a pullet, but totally agree on the 'straight run' myth from hatcheries. Unfortunately it look like you have a lot of cockerels in this batch.

Look like healthy birds!

It seems like some hatcheries, when they say straight run, it is 90% cockerels, so not really straight run because that percentage isn't going to happen on its own in most cases.
There has never been a more true statement here on BYC.

Straight run AFTER they have creamed all the females out of the mix.

I'm pretty certain that all of the pictured birds are cockerels. It seems like some hatcheries, when they say straight run, it is 90% cockerels, so not really straight run because that percentage isn't going to happen on its own in most cases.

×3 I agree. All cockerels. Thankfully our hatcheries are setup differently here
