How old is your splash pullet? I have a chick that I think is going to look like this, she is only 1 1/2 weeks, but starting to see black spots in her wing feathers as they come out. Isn't it exciting. :highfive:
She is also a Marans.

Cockerel based on photo. Photos can be deceiving. Look at the birds comb yourself. If you see red in person that I'm seeing in the photo then it's a cockerel. No doubt.

Pullets with single combs wont show any red in comb until point of lay. It's impossible for a single comb pullet at this age to show red in comb.

She (I hope) is around 10 weeks old. Definitely exciting seeing them spot up. I've only had her for about 4 weeks.

I have a buff orpington hens that was getting a red comb even a little younger than this. I thought she was going to be a rooster for about a month, but she was the first of the buff orpingtons to lay an egg at 22 weeks.
