Is this a cockerel? I'm assuming yes because of the big red comb, but the coloring compared to photos I've seen are making me doubt myself. Do the white feathers on the back come later? I'm just not familiar with this breed at all. Thanks! And sorry about the blurry photos, he likes to keep his distance. :/

Also not completely familiar with this breed, but I'd say cockerel, white spot or not. His coloring just doesn't look like a female to me.

What say everyone else? I know you Silver Gray Dorking lovers are around!

That is a male. Females would have a lighter, more penciled color pattern. Males are black and silver like your bird.

I don't care what color the bird is, that much comb and wattles at 10 weeks is absolutely a rooster.
