I put my 2010 pullets out to our coop about 2 weeks ago. Last weekend I let them out "with the big girls", hilarious to watch them run and fly. I was keeping a close eye on my Columbian Wyandotte since she did not seem to be fully feathered in on her back and wings. I did not find any mites on her and no one seemed to be giving her problems.

This morning as I let them out I noticed she had a bloody spot on her back and another on her wing that were bleeding. I stayed out and watched the birds for a while, she seemed fine but was keeping away from the others.

Tonight we got home to find her wing completely gone, and her back quite torn up.
I have put her into a cage in the garage, with her own food and water. She is dozing and has yellow runny poop. Probably has not eaten.

I have read the article by Natalie about poultry injuries. . .
Looks like I should douse her with a water/peroxide mix, add some yogurt to her diet, and probably some antibiotics to her water.

Poor baby
