So, I ordered 5 lovely little chicks back in may, having been assured they were all female.
A week or two ago, we began to think one of the polishes,Samantha, was a male because of size and also some lovely little feathers that were very roostery. We were prepared to give him away and Samantha became Sam. That was settled. This morning however, one of our girls crowed. A real cockadoodledoooooooo. Gloria is a blue Andalusian and does in fact look like a hen (at least to me), I did my google image searches and everything. I'm totally confused @_@
Can a hen crow? maybe she was imitating Sam?
If pics would help I can post some.
In any case, I need to get rid of them both because of town laws and I personally don't want a rooster.

Yes, hens can do a sorta crow. Some say it comes close to a males crow, although the few Ive had that did it werent bonafide. They only shrieked like banshees....
But it is a moot point if they gottta go.

I have a hen that crows sometimes. Post pics and we can help identify.
