10 wk pullets getting laying crumbles?

i have some pullets in with my laying hens that are about 10 weeks and been on grower crumbles,so not many eggs lately and thinking about switching to layer crumbles.why not?

Well, you should probably feed the babies the grower food until they're 20 weeks of age. The reason is, that layer feed contains extra calcium for those nice strong eggshells, but it can cause developmental problems in chicks.

is the grower ok for the older ladies?

Oh sure! Not sure though if it would provide the strong eggshells......maybe you could put some oystershell where the babies can't reach......so you haven't had any trouble with the adults beating up on the babies?

when i put them in there i took 3 layers and my roo to the auction so i had 3 left,i put 13 10wk olds in there when i took the others out.they seemed confused for awhile about it,they only peck if the little ones get in there face now.

Feed them all the growner. JUst provide some calcium for your layers. They will use what they need
