Just thought I’d share my hatching success with you. I purchased 24 black copper maran fertile eggs from a neighbor. I washed them in warm water , nothing added, left them to dry sitting large end up in egg cartons, put them in my brinsea octagon fully automatic incubator and ran a dry hatch ( no water added) until day 18. I then upped the humidity to between 50 and 60 % and 24 healthy chickens hatched on day 21. I had candled on day 10 and all eggs were viable. Best wishes to all other happy hatchers.
