So do I....

I am hoping he keeps quiet. We aimed for all gals... So far he doesn't crow much, or very loudly. We have lots of noisy dogs in the area, much louder than my fellah. We just have a noise ordinance, so...

I'll keep my fingers crossed that your neighbors don't complain! That's really sad how you can't have roosters in the city, but it's okay for other people to have noisy dogs. It just doesn't make sense... And it's not like roosters crow that often either.

Well, it's not against roosters, it's anything noisy. I'm hoping the noisy dogs will cancel out noisy roosters

Besides, there are so many backyard dogs, one could never figure out which one started barking first. Ofcourse with a noisy rooster, it'll be easy to figure out it's me.

My neighbors on both sides know I have chickens, they're both elderly ladies, likely from the time of victory gardens and backyard chickens. I actually had a lady come by with her kids and ask about my birdies. My only concern is a neighbor that has a yard that attaches to mine. They never say anything, but their fence keeps getting higher and they plant more and more bushes between us

I highly doubt they can even hear him.

I've had the city come by before to complain about my 'weeds' (tomato plants)... so.. we'll see. Pssh, I'm being green here!

I have never understood people complaining about roosters but yet never seem to notice their own yapping dogs that do so ALL NIGHT long.

Around here people up the road have probably 50 roosters in the blue barrel houses. Come about 5 am they could wake the living dead if they wanted, but I don't mind. They quiet down soon enough. Of course cows can be pretty loud as well and goats, the ones next door sound like they are being murdered at times. And people fuss about a rooster. LOL.
