I know that chickens molt but I want to make sure mine is bc my last batch of chickens never molted. sis gave me a heart attack I thought a hawk got to her bc they were everywhere.

She is losing a lot of her fluffy feathers and it's only her bc she's the only one out of my two that have white and brown ones my other girl has solid dark brown.
ill try to get a pic of them. I also noticed that when I pick her up it feels pointy around her stomach and legs and when I touch her they fall right off and I have noticed fewer eggs.

I'm about 100% sure she is molting but why not ask.

I have feathers EVERYWHERE! Tis the season. I do not like to criticize the powers that be, but would not Aug/September be a better time for molt? Asking for a friend.
