Hello , I set my hens eggs on the 6th at 5pm. I have been checking the temp. on a regular basis and it has been in between 101°f /100°f until this morning when I found it at 102°F, I turned it down and checked that it was at 100°F before leaving for work.5 hours later when I get home I find it once again at 102°F. Once again I have turned it down and now that I'm home I can keep a close eye on it ...but I was wondering if damage has already been done to the embryos?
I have used this incubater once before and I hatched 18 out of 23 eggs.. the hatch did start a day early I 'm guessing because of high temp.

They will probably be fine. I've been having the same problem. It will be 100 for days until I go to work then it will hit 102. Who knows.

I think they will be fine also. You are monitoring it fairly regularily by the sounds of it so the eggs probably aren't getting that hot in side the egg - just the air around them.

I had a scare on my last hatch early on in the incubation where I came home from work and the temperature in the incubator was reading 110°F. The light bulb that regulates the thermostat had burnt out and the second bulb which is about 10" away had to heat the air temperature to 110°F to activate the WHT.
I had no idea how long the temp was like that and out of a dozen eggs I only lost one and this past Saturday the remaining 11 all hatched fine.

Thanks !! It has been stable now at 100°F ,so hopefully it won't fluctucate anymore !
