$103!!!

I have mine outside my bedroom window as well. That first night, any sound at all and I was out of bed and looking out the window. My husband thought it was hilarious.
I don't think it's hilarious!
I think it's sensible!!!

Didn't realize you only had one the first time I read this. If nobody else has suggested it, I'd get it a friend. Ducks are flock animals and that is going to be one lonely ducky outside by itself.

Every one told me.
I will spend most of my time with him.

its best to get another for all the time you wont be there. it will make a lot of noise if its a lone. also if you wait till its an adult to get a friend for it then you will have to wait till the other duckling is at least half the size or almost the size of the adult as well

I'm sorry but I can't!
I got two eggs in the first place but one was infertile!
Please I know all of you know what is best for him but I can't get another duckling!!!
(Not trying to be rude at all)
Sorry

I don't understand why you can't get a second duck? 2 are no more work than one. Two can share the housing you are building the one as well.

May I ask why?
Becuase one is plenty for me!

Becuase I didn't know how messy ONE duckling could be before he hatched!

Becuase I can only cover the cost of one duckling!

Please stop with the questions about getting another duckling.
It's starting to make me feel like I'm mistreating my duckling!
Like I said before if this sounded rude in any way I'm sorry but there is no other way to put it!!!

Actually since you can't be there all day every day, yes it is in some way cruel to the one duckling to be left alone. It needs a pal to sleep with, to talk with and be with as you can't be there every moment of every day/night. Once outside full time it will be even more lonely. When you post asking advice you can't get mad when the advice doesn't match what you want it to be.

I didn't ask if I needed two ducks!
And I am not mad.
I am just frustrated that every one is telling me to do something I CAN'T do.
I will consider getting another duck but the chances of me getting one are slim.
