Alright BYC, I need your opinion. On the day my temp shot up to 104, I had 8 silkie eggs on day 5 and 5 silkie eggs on day 17. I'm using a still air LG. Due to thermal layering, I have one thermometer on top of the eggs and one sitting on bottom of the wire. When I checked the eggs at 11:30, the temp was 101 on top and 99 on bottom. When I came back at 8:00 the temp was 104 on top and 101 on bottom. I don't know how many hours they stayed like that. So, my question: Are they all dead now or is there any hope?

One guy on here said his shot up to 110 and they still hatched. Your bottom temp wasn't that bad. My opinon is that they will be fine. I hope I'm right!

I had quite a few temp spikes, mine have not hatched yet but i know they are still alive because i can see them moving when candling.
Good luck with your hatch.

Don't give up. All of my chickens including my lone brooder chick survived 117 yesterday. They are resilient.
