We are getting a cool front this weekend. we are in the mid eighties. We have gone to 102 a few times about 2 weeks ago. This is Southeast Louisiana. I am so ready for fall just have to get threw august and half of september. Hurricanes! And I don't mean the drink. So far we do not even have a named one just nothing-it does kinda scare me. we're having the cold front now... brrr.... 64* today? What's that all about?

I guess it's better than all those hot muggy days we had last summer.

I certainly do wonder about my friends who say "how can you stand it in Florida, its just so hot" especially when its just as hot or hotter in many places in the US. And many of those places will get below zero in the winter. Its been pleasant here this past week, highs low 90's, and afternoon rain showers nearly every day.

I can stand it here just fine.

really in MN? I'll have to call my sis and get the reports... bet her little boys aren't runnin around her yard naked now riding their battery operated tractors and peein on all the bushes along with the dog.

It finally got up to 80 today! Maine isn't having much of a summer this year...actually, now that I think of it...we never have much of a summer...

Having grown up in Florida part-time, I've asked folks around here what's worse, Florida or Arkansas. Those that have experienced both agree, Arkansas summers are much worse!
I tentatively planning a trip to Florida in August to visit my Dad. It will be a welcome relief from this heat!

I have off for vacation next week with company coming, I am soooo glad it's gonna cool off!

...no, for real, mid-90's makes me HAPPY!! We have had something like 28 days of 100+ degrees in the last five weeks or so.

We finally broke the triple digits & high 90s today in central La & had what almost felt like a "cool fall day"--now if we would just get some rain that would be great!!

I gotta chime in on this one. Yep, it's STIFLING. At 2:30 this afternoon it was 119* here. North of Phoenix, in the 'cool' "high" country. At 9 pm, it's still 95* out there.

What made the 119* worse? When the electricity went out just before I looked at the thermometer and stayed off until after 4 this afternoon.

Can we say HEAT STROKE?

At least we don't have high humidity levels to go along with the high temps.
