108 degrees

We had church in the park today. It was wetlands actually and all the prairie flowers were in full bloom.... it was beauuuuutiful. We even had a nice breeze and had to wear jackets.

The sun popped up a little later and me and the girls walked about 2 miles. Came back to the shelter where Grandma waited for us with the picnic lunch we had packed. Absolutely gorgeous day.

Mom said the weather man said today's temp. was as if it were Oct. 7th. It struggled to get to 70* and the clouds are many...there are white billowy ones and dark luminous ones but they said it's not supposed to rain. Sure looks like it though.

ooo oooo.... if I'm a lab I must be a yellow lab with my yellow hair.

and orp.... I don't know the meaning of bored. I don't mind doing nothing. That's called nap time isn't it?

Without reading the whole thread I gotta say. Aw come on Deb, it's a dry heat. LOL Really when we lived up there we could handle 15 degrees hotter due to the dryness. When we would go visit family in Long Beach we'd just swelter (it was like 85). Now we live deep in the humidity of TX. What were we thinking. Heck 108 in the dry heat sucks no matter how dry it is.

It is SOOOO not dry. Not even close to normal. Normal is 8-10%, lately its been 80-90% GASP!

Well you've been blessed with a little bit of my Texas weather. Aren't you lucky. LOL

The cat went with us for a walk to the pond one day. She flushed TWO moccasins out of the reeds and continued to try and capture them! We had to tackle her to make her stop! And y'all think this little renegade (want to use another word, but alas a family friendly forum) should be trusted around my chickens?? Not uh!

Are you talking about Kiki the Siamese. We had a Siamese that used to back dobermans into corners. She looks alot like my ol Ichiban. No dog stood a chance against him.
