I have a 10 week or so Cochin who can't stand for long periods or walk far. When she is in the coop she gets flattened by the other birds... her leg goes backwards and she takes ages to eventually right herself. She seems less sturdy or meaty than the others. She is easily tipped over by other chickens in the coop and doesn't move more than a foot or so in any direction. She has always been a mellow bird but we have noticed now that she is weaker than all the others. We have put her in her own tote and she seems fine but it is hardly a 'life'. I intend to give her a stuffed toy to snuggle (I am, after all a ChickenMama) but wonder what I can do? We are putting B6 sublingual liquid in her water and molasses which makes her perkier when she is on her own but dont know what we can do to integrate her into rough coop life. Suggestions?? Thank you.

Try feeding her a bit of organic coconut oil. It's purely anecedotal but it seemed to do wonders for my hen that appeared to have suffered a stroke. She couldn't lift her head up and 1 leg won't move properly - much like a person who suffered from a stroke. Antibiotics didn't help but after she had some coconut oil by accident, she seemed to improve drastically (she's now back in the coop). Now sure if it actually was the coconut but doesn't hurt to try it I guess! :)
