11 1/2 month just laying?

I got my first wind egg yesterday.
(My other 24 hens had full sized eggs from the start.)
It was cute, so I blew it and it had a jelly bean sized yolk.
Could I have one hen JUST now starting, Or is she prematurely winding down?
I have gotten 22/24 eggs before, but never 24/24.
I figured I had a hold out, I just did not know which one.
Is this common? The others got going at about four to six months.

It must be fairly common, what breed are they? My hold outs were my Polish, I got them last May as chicks and they just started laying in February!

Okay! Good. normal enough!
Mine are buff orps, and I got them first week of May 2009.
I was delighted and excited and 'Hooray a small egg for the mantle!'...and then someone told me they do that as they start to stop laying too. Premature menopausal chicken? that did not sound right.
