omg!! I am so glad there are lots of hatchers out there to keep me preoccupied! I have been fighting the temp and humidity on my bator since I put blue orp eggs in there. I refuse to take them out until I can be sure to see something when I candle. I pray they won't be overheated. I keep propping the lid to let some heat escape. Didn't even think of that at first since I was so freaked out. I have to take a step back and take a deep breath to remember what you have taught me..you and Speckled Hen and so many others. I love the pics you post and the info. It is so helpful to the rest of us just learning all this.

I candled these tonight when I checked on my goose eggs. I always get nervous at this point. I could clearly see some movement in at least 6 of them.

I candled these last night when I checked the goose eggs and could see movement in 5 eggs and one of those looked like it was a beak pushing at the air cell.

I cant wait to see what you get. I was wondering if you saw pictures of Gordies Blacks? I was thinking of maybe getting eggs?

Miss Prissy,
About that dirty egg -- I have a dozen RB turkey eggs to go in the 'bator. It's my first time hatching. One of my eggs was laid in the dirt after it rained and has dried dirt on a lot of it.

I thought when incubating that everything had to be super super clean. I thought I should either wash the dirty egg, or not use it.

Would you mind explaining the whole dirt/clean incubator thing?
