11 different breeds (what a mess... LOL)

I like to read this forum a lot as there are some really helpful people here. This is my first post.

Ok, so from Murray McMurray's I ordered 15 Rare Bird Special and 15 Special Assorted Bargain both straight run, with one each extra chick thrown in, in total 33 chicks. Two died with in a few days I chalk up to transportation losses. Then lost three to a snake (snake has been dispatched.) This are not our first flock but previous flock was decimated by a fox (we have adopted some LGDogs to address the problem.) I ordered this menagerie when we still had 20 or so of our original 35 to 40 bird flock and wanted to add some flair to the flock. The chicks are 4 weeks and I have been able to differentiate 11 different breeds.

I am hoping I can post some pics and add pics over time with help from experts to nail down what breeds and how many roosters I have (hopefully only a couple.) We got rid of our Rooster before which might have increased the devastation from the fox.

This is my list of breeds and my supposition of them:

• 1 Partridge Cochin (75% has feathery legs)
• 2 Buff Polish (100% sure)
• 2 Ancons (black and white)?
• 2 Dark Brahman (90%)
• 2 Barred Roc or dominique
• 2 Turken (100% sure)
• 2 grayish brown body- Cream legbars(no tufts) ?
• 2 goldish necks brown body?
• 3 Speckled Sussex (80%)
• 4 blue laced red wynette
• 5 Bielefelder or Partridge Rocs or other

Attached are some rather random pics, I can concentrate on particular birds to figure them out. Thanks in advance for any help.

The one in the eighth picture looks like a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte. I think you are correct and have some Speckled Sussex.

Do the barred chicks have single or rose combs?

Not sure how to tell in chicks the kind of comb here is a cropped picture. Can you tell from it?

I think that's a rose comb, so that chick is a dominique.

It is a rose comb. Dom it is.
I also can see the Wyandotte, Speckled Sussex, some Polish in there.

The chick in pick 5 and 6 is a speckled sussex. The black and white chick standing on the block in pic 1 is an ancona. The chick in pic 1 might be a welsummer or a brown leghorn. The chick in pic 8 is a blue laced red wyandotte.

Looks like you have a few cream leg bar as well. Oh, and welcome to the forum!

As others have said, it is a rose comb, so is a Dominique.
