OK, here are the facts:
11 week old speckled sussex, hatched by me, never been on ground only with chicks that hatched with her, still in brooder(3 chicks total), eating and drinking fine, poop falls through cracks of wire, but nothing in the catch box that looks bloody or runny. She is feed purina chick starter in the red bag, I do not know if it's medicated or not since we don't have a choice at the local feed store.

I noticed Friday night that she acted as if she needed to throw up, sort of gagging like, but nothing coming out. I thought she must have eat too much or too fast so I left well enough alone. Yesterday when she was still doing it, I added ACV to the waterer and again left her alone. She doesn't contiuously do this, just from time to time and it seems like after eating. So today I spent some time reading on here. I don't see anything like it. Other than the throwing up looking stance, she is fine, walking, eating, trying to fly up when I open the top, comb is normal. I picked her up to feel her crop, it was VERY mushy and full, so I held her upside down so whatever it is maybe would come out. The only thing that came out was mucous looking stuff and runny chick starter. She again acted fine, tolerated the upside done thing well, she still felt mushy but I didn't want to hurt her so I stopped when the mucous stopped for the second time, it was a good amount that came out. I put her back in the cage and now I'm on here. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Melissa

Are you using the organic ACV? That's much more effective than just regular ACV.

I have no suggestions...I would have suggested ACV, but you've done that.
Has the chick had access to any other food except the chick starter? Any treats? If it's only just right after she eats, perhaps she just eats a little too much at a time. Do you have your food out all the time? (Just kinda brainstorming here

No, its just regular ACV. Since I did the massage thing and that stuff came out I haven't seen her doing the throwing up thing. She does have food available all the time, maybe I should change that. Just checked on her again, so far so good! I just worry if it could be anything contagious since I have others in with her and another batch of babies in the same brooder, but divided by a piece of wood (not air tight). Thanks for the help...
