I have three chicken that were all born on the same day, all different breeds. One is clearly a rooster. A buff orpington with huge red comb and wattle and crowed for the first time this morning. One is clearly a hen. A big black bird with small comb and not a touch of red. She is a "talker" but sounds nothing like crowing. Not sure on her breed. BUT I have one chicken, also 11 weeks, that I can't decide gender on. Small comb (in comparison to the buff) but red. Way redder than the black. And made a noise this morning that wasn't quite a crow but maybe working on it. I was first told the gender was a Dominique but then told it was a barred rock. Any help would be nice.
my roo
my hen
what is this? He/she Dominique/barred rock?
Thanks. Oh also I have some 10 week old black sex links. They are suppose to be all females, can a black sexlink that has all the coloring of a female actually be a male? I heard the spotted ones were males and the black ones were females but one of my "females" has a larger red comb..
