From what we’ve read, orps tend to be a wait and see breed but I just want to throw this out here for peace of mind. This is Guacamole, our 10-12 week old lavender/jubilee cross orphington. I’m hoping for a hen since we have two cockerels already and I’m a bit rusty on my chick sexing. Thoughts, comments, concerns?

Sorry for bad quality, the phone was apparently scary and I had to act quickly

Hello there!

I agree with the others: it looks like you’ve got a pullet. She’s pretty! :)
Hoorah I was going to be extremely disappointed if it was a cockerel since this was the ONE chick my mom really showed interest in. The breeder we bought from said she wanted to try crossing a lavender orphington and a jubilee orphington to see if she could get a combination. We had high hopes since she had a “bald face” as a chick but alas she is just a lavender. We love her. She’s got a great personality too.
