Oh, thank you for those pictures! How old are yours? They do have bigger combs than mine, but not by much....hmmm? so cute. Mine was raised by silkies and is pretty tame
My Silver sebright hen had next to no comb until she was over 6 months old. Don't know if that's normal or not, as she is the only one I have. Her comb now is not as big as the one in the pictures.
So, obviously my Alice and Georgia Sebrights are really Alex and George. They're 11 weeks old.
I have another Silver Sebright in the brooder with a Golden Sebright (and two LF birds) all about 5, maybe 6 weeks old. Alex and George grew those combs with the spikes whilst still in the brooder, so I'm HOPING the Silver and Golden are pullets.
Here are the younger ones, about a week, week-and-a-half ago.
Here's the Golden - there's a TOUCH of a small spike on that barely visible comb.
And here s/he is again, with something to say about the flash on the camera. (I'm pretty sure the Silver IS a pullet.... if the comb development is ANY clue at all.)
