11 Week Polish Chicks

But I have had polish that have had the lovely little Pom Pom and thought definitely a hen, but then they suddenly got the messy hair do 😳 (pic below) actually, looking back on my pics, the gold laced one could be a pullet.View attachment 2862765
Oh my, is your polish a house chicken? What's the front of this one look like?

Morning šŸ™‚
No they are not house chickens, I have them in the house until they are about 8 weeks old then they move outside. The only trouble I have is keeping them outside 🤣 we have 3 dogs so our back door is always open, so my chickens casually just stroll in whenever they want 😊 I’ll get some pictures of his face and post them.

Those wattles indicate that he is a cockerel
I did think that at first, but with them only being a very pale pink šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø I have a polish exactly the same, I was convinced she was a cockerel….until she laid an egg!! 🤣

But it's the age that the wattles matter. This bird is only six weeks old. A pullet wouldn't have wattles this young :)
