we have 3 dogs so our back door is always open, so my chickens casually just stroll in whenever they want

No they are not house chickens, I have them in the house until they are about 8 weeks old then they move outside. The only trouble I have is keeping them outside
Looks like a pullet.
Those wattles indicate that he is a cockerel
I did think that at first, but with them only being a very pale pink
I have a polish exactly the same, I was convinced she was a cockerel….until she laid an egg!!
